How it plays

In Crucible of Legends, strategy, timing, and synergy decide your fate. Here’s how a typical game unfolds:

Choose Your Champions

Each player chooses 2 out of 6 Honorbound champions to form their team: Aria, Dalton, Jaspar, Kael, Misty, or Samira.

Each Honorbound has a unique deck of 5 Skill Cards. Combine their 10 Skill Cards into a single deck—these cards define your abilities for the match.

Enter the Crimson Colosseum

The battlefield, known as the Crimson Colosseum, consists of 4 unique Battlesectors. Each game uses only 2, allowing you to mix up the map and tactics every time you play.

Players take turns placing their selected Honorbounds into the Crimson Arena, starting on their own side of the battlefield. Once all four characters are placed, each player draws 5 cards from their deck to form their starting hand.

Play in Rounds

Each round consists of 4 turns—one per Honorbound.

On your Honorbound’s turn:

  • Choose one face-up character
  • Move up to 3 tiles orthogonally using basic movement
  • Play Skill Cards before or after moving, spending from your energy pool

Once a character acts, it’s flipped face down—they can’t act again until the next round.

At the start of each round:

  • Players draw one card
  • Each player gains 6 energy to spend during the round

Use Your Skills Wisely

Each Skill Card provides vital tactical info:

  • Energy Cost (1–5)
  • Victory Points earned for hitting a target
  • Range and movement permissions
  • Whether you can ignore obstacles
  • Whether you inflict a Negative Condition (applies on the opponent’s next turn):
    • Cripple – restricts movement
    • Daze – limits range
    • Stun – increases skill cost

Master card timing, positioning, and condition effects to stay one step ahead.
Plan wisely: you only get 6 Energy per round, shared between both of your champions.

Outplay your Rival – Win the Match

Earn Victory Points by hitting enemies with Skill Cards. When a player ends a round with more than 20 points, the game ends. The player with the most points is declared the Champion.
